The outside of runway dimension needs to be used to determine if this lift matches up with any particular vehicle.
At nearly 78" from outside of one runway to the other, the runways are set at a good width to meet a wide variety of passenger cars and light trucks.
If your truck is at 81" from outside of tire to outside of tire, we do have other models better suited for that specific vehicle.
The term Drive Through Clearance refers to the cross member that supports the runways. There is a gusset on it as you get closer to the columns that angles up at a 45 degree angle.
So if you had a dually for instance, you would want it to be narrower from outside of your rear tires, so that the outside tire doesn't roll over that gusset, causing it to get pinched on that gusset.
